            Tent Set Up – 4:30pm to finish (rain day – Thursday)

Wednesday, September 9th

           Pie Making – 9:00am to 3:00pm

Thursday, September 10th

            Haluski Preparation – 1:00 pm to 5:00pm

Friday, September 11th

             Potato Pancake Prep – 9:00am to 3:00am

              Potato Pancake Batter – 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Saturday, September 12th

            Complete Remaining Work – 9:00am to finish

Mass in remembrance 9/11 will be on Friday, September 11 at 8 AM.                  

Dożynki Tent setup will be held on Tuesday, September 8th   starting about 4:30 PM to finish (rain day – Thursday). Help is needed and appreciated. If you can help, call or text David Petrosky at 570-851-9709 or Nick Kazinetz at 570-604-2620.  Previously tent setup was scheduled for Wednesday.  

Dożynki Volunteers Group picture will be taken on Sunday, September 13th  after 9 AM mass in the church.

We ask parents to bring children and youth for the Harvest Festival Wreath Ceremony at 11 AM on the church grounds on Sunday, September 13. Please arrive at 10:45 AM in the parish hall to get dressed for the ceremony in the Dożynki costume.      

Clothing sale (with PNCC Logo) Holy Mother of Sorrows is having a clothing sale that will run until Wednesday September 16, 2026.    The clothing order is being printed by “We Talk Shirty”, a huge sponsor for our Dozynki Festival. 

All orders will be done online through the website (link below).  The payments will be done online by credit card.  There will be 2 ways to receive your order.  If you live outside the local Dupont area, the order will be shipped to you directly and standard shipping costs will be applied to your order.  If you are a member of the Holy Mother of Sorrows parish and would like to pick up your order at the church you may. 

We are selling T-shirts, Long sleeve T-shirts, Light weight hooded sweatshirts, Hooded sweatshirts, and crewneck sweatshirts.   The sizes are adult and unisex.  The shirts are available in 4 different colors with a single screen on the navy and red shirts, and a multiple screen on the powder blue and royal blue. 

These are great ways to show off your PNCC pride and they will make great Christmas gifts.  Orders will be ready 4 weeks after the completion of the sale.  Clothing can only be ordered online: Online Link:

50th Dożynki Festival will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 11 AM till 6 PM on the church grounds. Only one mass will be celebrated on the Dożynki Sunday at 9 AM. The blessing of the Harvest Wreath will be held at 11 AM in the TENT. 

Volunteers for the Dożynki Festival – We need your help! The success of our Festival depends on the people, parishioners, and friends alike.  Please commit to certain areas of work, like pre-festival setup, serving in the stands, preparing food, and cleaning up. Dożynki Donors List – We will post a list of the Dożynki donors in the church vestibule on the Dożynki Day.  Those folks that donate $100.00 dollars will be listed as “Gold” donors, $50.00, “Silver” donors and $25.00 as “Bronze” donors.  

Dożynki Planning Meeting – There will be a final planning meeting for our Dozynki Festival on Sunday, August 16th at 9:00am, following the 8:00 am Mass.

Basket Raffle – Please fill out a form if you would like to donate a basket (minimum value of $35.00) and put it into the Dożynki Forms box.  Drop off all Dożynki Baskets will be on Sunday, Sept. 6 from 9 AM till 11:30 AM in the parish hall (please do not bring baskets beforebecause we use our hall for Food Distribution, mat making, etc) 

Bake Sale – Please fill out a form and place it into the Dożynki Forms Box with the name of the delicious baked goods you will be donating.

School of Christian Living (Sunday School) will begin after Dozynki and Synod, on Sunday, October 4 at 9 AM.
